Did you know that there is such a thing as “meal anxiety”? It is the fear of not having enough to eat. That’s what some 37,000 kids in Douglas, Arapahoe, and Elbert counties are at risk for each weekend. Not having enough to eat.

This is why, The Denver Entrepreneurs and The Corriere Group are teaming up with other local businesses to support SECOR, and stomp out hunger. This way we are able to support SECOR’s mission of feeding families and children in need, and also give back to our local community.

We’re looking for businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals, just like you, that care about supporting the cause of eliminating childhood hunger. On September 15th, from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm, we are organizing The Grape Stomp To Stomp Out Hunger To Support SECOR at Flat Acres Farm (11321 Dransfeldt Rd. Parker, CO 80134).

We are going to have a friendly grape stomping competition, a farm to table dinner catered by Rory’s Catering and J Lohr’s Wines, and a silent auction. How can you help, you ask? Many different ways. You may want to sponsor a table, sign up for the grape stomping competition, donate a gift basket or your services for our silent auction. You can just come for dinner with your significant other or a friend.

How can you help?

If you’d like to sign up for the grape stomping, you are in for a treat! We’re taking two-member teams, and you will be up against the California grape stomping champions, one of whom happens to be my own sister, Juanita Dominguez. Expect loads of fun! Our goal is to host 200 people, which is doubling our success from last year with the Great Gatsby event.

To participate, volunteer, or sponsor a table, go to the event website, and buy tickets. Best deal for price is $600 sponsoring a table for 8, which includes the dinners, and the grape stomp competition if you buy it before June 1st.

Thank you for your consideration to support us, and looking forward to see you grape stomping with me and Jason there,

Susan Gomez- Corriere
